Intended use
The microphone is intended for converting acoustic signals (sound waves) into
electric signals. The low level audio output signal must only be connected to suitable
microphone inputs. Power is supplied via a 9 V block battery.
The product is suitable for use in dry areas only. Contact with moisture, e.g. in
bathrooms, must be avoided at all times.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this
product. If you use the product for purposes other than those described above, the
product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short-
circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them for
future reference. Make this product available to third parties only together with its
operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety

• If the microphone is connected to a device with speakers, do not point it at
the speakers. This will cause acoustic feedback that could damage both
the speakers and the microphone.
• In order to avoid distortions or mismatches that could cause damage to
the microphone or connected device, the product must only be connected
to suitable microphone inputs. Also refer to the connection values under
technical data in regard to this matter.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may
become dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong
jolts, high humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapors and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of
operation and protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no
longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a
low height can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices
which are connected to the product.
• Ensure the correct polarity when inserting the battery.
• The battery should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long
period of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged
batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, Therefore
use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted batteries.
• Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries
lying around, as there is risk, that children or pets swallow them.
• Do not disassemble, short-circuit or throw batteries into fire. Never
recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
• Consult a professional if you require assistance with product operation,
safety or connection.
• Maintenance work, adjustments and repairs may be carried out only by a
professional or at a specialist workshop.

Inserting / replacing the battery
• Slide the battery compartment lid up in the direction of the arrow and then remove it.
• Insert a 9 V block battery according to correct polarity. When doing so, observe the
polarity markings inside the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment. First position the lid with its upper edge on the
housing. Then push the lid down until it locks into place.
Replace the battery, once the LED indicator lights up red.
Operation
• Clamp the cable into the holder on the bottom.
• Attach the product to the hot shoe of your camera or to a suitable tripod.
• Make sure the camera is switched off.
• Connect the 3.5 mm jack plug to the microphone input on your camera.
• Slide the on/off switch to the center position in order to switch on the product. The
LED indicator lights up green.
• Switch on your camera.
• Before disconnecting the product from the camera, switch the camera and the
product off.
