Electronic Speed Controller
Item no.: 22 69 94: Type „Truck 60WP JR"
Item no.: 22 69 96: Type „Truck 90WP JR"
Intended Use
The product is connected to a free channel of the receiver of model vehicles and serves as a
continuous RPM control of brush motors.
Up to two motors can be connected to the speed controller.
The neutral position of the speed controller is programmed automatically. A control LED indicates
the driving direction on the speed controller.
This product complies with the statutory national and European requirements. All company

Safety Information
The guarantee/warranty will expire if damage is incurred resulting from non-
compliance with the operating instructions! We do not assume any liability for
consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for property damage and personal injury caused
by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases
the warranty/guarantee is voided.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is prohibited for safety and
approval reasons (CE). Never disassemble the product. There are no components inside the
casing that need to be adjusted or serviced by you. Furthermore, this will render the guarantee/
warranty void!
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children!
• Disconnect the battery from the speed controller if you are not using the latter. The speed
controller can be temporarily switched off using the on/off switch.
• Always turn on the transmitter first before connecting the speed controller with the battery and
switching it on!
• Before turning off the transmitter, turn off the speed controller and, if necessary, disconnect it
from the rechargeable battery.
• Disconnect the battery from the speed controller before charging.
• Depending on the battery voltage used, this results in different maximum permissible currents.
For this, always observe the technical data in these operating instructions. If the threshold
values are not observed, the motor and/or speed controller can be destroyed. Loss of
guarantee/warranty!
• Always use a battery pack to operate the speed controller. Never use a wall mains adapter.
• The speed controller is only suitable for the operation of conventional electric motors with two
connections. Never connect a brushless electric motor with 3 connections to the speed
controller.
• Connect no more than two electro motors to the speed controller (see chapter „Technical
Data"). They must have a proper suppressor.
• Keep the biggest possible distance between receiver and speed controller/motor for the
installation, to avoid interaction.
• Do not install the aerial line of the receiver in parallel to the live cables.
• Do not coil up the aerial cable. For example, use an aerial tube which protrudes from the vehicle
in a perpendicular position.
• Always turn on the transmitter first and put the engine control into neutral position. Then the
speed controller may be connected to a battery pack and switched on. When switching off,
proceed in reverse order – first switch off the speed controller and disconnect it from the
rechargeable battery, then switch off the transmitter.
• The motor, the speed controller and the batteries may become very hot during operation.
Danger of burns!
• When operating the model, sufficient cooling has to be provided for the speed controller as well
as the motor.
• Do not block the drive. The resulting currents may destroy the motor and/or speed controller.
• Observe a smooth drive section and perform regular maintenance.
• Check the model and the speed controller/motor for damage. If you discover any damage, do
not operate the model or the speed controller/motor anymore.
• When operating vehicles, make sure that no body parts or other objects come close to any
rotating parts. Risk of injury!
• Handle the product with care; impacts, shock or fall even from low heights will damage it.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
Connections and Control Elements
1 Battery connection plug (System „Tamiya")
2 Connection plug for 2 motors (2 x red, 2 x black)
3 On/off switch
4 Plug for connection to the receiver
5 Indicator LED
Assembly
• If the product is to be used as a replacement for an existing speed controller, first remove the
old speed controller from your model.
• Attach the new speed controller in the model. Select the same assembly site depending on the
space situation. Ideally, it should be as far away from the receiver as possible and be
surrounded by sufficient cooling air. The speed controller should not be directly next to the
motor either.
When installing, observe that the red indicator LED installed next to the motor connection
cables is still visible when installed.
• Connect the cables of the speed controller (red cable = plus pole when driving forwards) to
those of the motor (or motors).
In operation later, observe the indicator LED (5) at the speed controller for correct forwards and
reverse motion of the motor in connection with the speed controller.
If the motor's rotating direction does not match the indicator LED of the speed controller (e.g.
because the speed controller is installed in a new model), just swap the two motor connections
(red and black). The motor then turns in the other direction. Also observe the notes in chapter
„Programming".
• You can use hook-and-loop tape or double-sided tape to attach the speed controller.
• The on/off switch (3) should be attached so that it can be operated easily but is protected from
water and contamination. Also use hook-and-loop tape or double-sided tape for installation.
• Install all cables so that they cannot become entangled in any rotating or moving parts of the
vehicle. Use cable ties to secure them.
