• Before you proceed, take time to read the following installation instructions for a professional installation.
• Present instructions are for an installation into a NEW counter top. For a sink replacement installation, into an EXISTING counter top,
the present sink-opening in counter top must conform to inner edge of template printed on sink carton and instructions should be
adapted accordingly.
• If you must cut out the countertop, use the template printed on the carton.
TEMPLATE
-
The template for the sink-opening in the counter top is printed
on the bottom of the sink carton.
-
The outer edge of the template indicated the perimeter of the
sing, i.e. the actual area of the counter top which will be
occupied by the sink once installed.
-
The inner edge of the template indicated the actual area of the
counter top which must be cut out to accommodate the sink.
INSTALLATION
1. Remove entire template from carton by cutting along outer
edge of template.
2. Remove center section of template by cutting along inner edge
of template. Do not remove faucet openings from template.
3. Place template on counter top to make sure that location
chosen for installation is free from obstructions and that it
provides sufficient space for clamps. Remove or re-locate any
obstructions.
4. Tape template to final location on counter top and draw a line
along both, inside and outside of template.
Transfer center locations for drilling of faucet mounting-hole
openings, as needed, to counter top by means of a nail or
punch at cross-marks printed on template. Remove template.
5. Drill a starting hole and cut sink-opening along the line
previously drawn from inside of template. Drill faucet holes as
required, in counter top by using a 1½" diameter drill bit.
Remove any rough edges.
6. Install sink strainer and tighten to ensure perfect sealing. Do
not install faucet assembly at this time.
7. Place sink into sink-opening with strainer to the rear and check
for proper clearance by using sink perimeter line previously
drawn around outside of template. If necessary, remove sink
and adjust opening.
8. Set sink aside and clean surrounding area from dirt, grease or
debris and dry.
9. Apply silicone sealant-adhesive (packed inside of sing) along
the inside of sink perimeter line.
10. Replace sink into sink-opening and position correctly.
11. From underside of counter top, place sink clamps (packed
inside of sink) into mounting brackets on front, left side and
rear of sink.
12. Using a screwdriver or a hexagonal socket wrench,
progressively tighten sink clamps around sink to grant a water-
tight seal between sink rim and counter top.

MAINTENANCE
Acrylic is easy to maintain. Daily care according to the following
instructions will ensure that it will keep its shine for years to come;
P
ROCEDURE
On a daily basis, cleaning your sink with ordinary dishwashing
liquid will remove grease and residues without scratching it. When
the sink is very dirty, use a non abrasive cleanser. For best results,
use a non abrasive cleanser. To keep the shine, wax regularly with
acrylic treatment (available at any MAAX
LUMACREAM
®
distributor), car wax, or ARMOR ALL
D
Do not use detergents containing abrasives, ammonia or
bleach.
Do not use steel wool, scouring pads or metal brushes since
they can scratch the surface. However, small scratches can be
eliminated by applying a non abrasive white car wax with a soft
cloth.
Pipe cleaners usually contain sulfuric or chloridric acid. They can
cause damage if they remain in contact with the sink surface for
too long. If you use such a product, rinse and clean the sink
thoroughly without delay.
Very hot pots and pans may damage the surface of the sink.
Let them cool down before putting them in the sink.
Although the sink is made of high density acrylic, it can be
scratched. Great care should be taken when working with heavy,
sharp or pointed objects.
