Use of the W800 radio buoy
To use the W800 radio buoy:
Make sure you've got the authorization code and set it up

correctly in the W830 Data Base software installed on your
personal computer.
Make sure the battery has been properly charged otherwise
•
proceed with a full charge (6 hours).
If there isn't the antenna on the radio buoy, install the stylus by
•
following the steps indicated at points (2), (3) and (4), that is
screw + antenna + washer + wing nut. Tighten them well by
hand.

Make sure the W800 radio buoy is equipped with the W855
•
counterweight fixed on the special hole at the bottom of the radio
buoy.
Tie a rope to the radio buoy, using the special hole on the
•
identification tab.
Put the radio buoy into the sea water gently, by holding both
•
sides; it is recommended you don't throw it or anyway you don't
let it fall from heights of more than 3 meters.
•
When the radio buoy is in contact with water it will start the data
transmission; the first transmission occurs within 3 minutes of
laying in the sea.
