Risk of damage due to incorrect environmental conditions. The
product is not flame-resistant. It must be kept away from flames or other
heat sources.
The product should not come into contact with grease or acidic agents,
unguents and lotions as this can reduce the period of use—especially
of pads.
2 Handling
2.1 Size Selection
Size selection of the orthosis is based on the ankle joint circumference.
2.2 Adapting and Applying the Product
The initial fitting and application of the orthosis must be carried out by
qualified personnel.
The orthosis is delivered ready for trial fitting.
1. Open all straps and loosen laces.
2. Pull the orthosis over the foot (fig. 1) and lace up like a shoe (fig. 2).
3. Next, apply the stabilizing straps as follows: Lay the outer strap over
the instep and pass it from inner (medial) side under the foot (fig. 4)
and attach to the corresponding hook and loop closure on the ankle.
4. Next, lay the inner strap over the instep, pass it from the outer (lateral)
side under the foot and attach to the corresponding hook and loop clo-
sure on the ankle (fig. 5).
5. If full weight-bearing of the foot has been allowed by the physician, the
stabilization straps may be re-tightened (fig. 6).
2.3 Instructions for Use and Care
The orthosis must be used in strict conformity with the indication. The phy-
sician's instructions must be strictly observed.
Material: Textile pads: velour/PU; inner side of the textile: PU; hook and
loop closures: nylon straps
Cleaning: Use a slightly moistened cloth to clean the outside of the ortho-
sis. Hand-wash the textile elements in 30 °C warm water with a standard
