TITANARG-
The welding technique, the sealing technology for your steel strappings, functions
on the basis of the tungsten welding method. This is used more than a million times in the
automotive industry.
Welding is effected without the electrode
being in contact with the strapping by an arc
ignitioned in an inert gas environment.
A Tungsten electrode in a torch is ignitioning
the arc which safely joints the overlapped
straps without the use of oxygen.
This welding process has been further
developed by TITAN for its use with strapping
machines. It has been patented for TITAN in
Europe and in the USA.
The Wolfram electrode can make up to 1000
welds before you have to regrind it.
The best welding results are achieved with
electrodes shaped in the way shown. TITAN-
SHARP is the ideal tool for the grinding
process. The grinding head used was
especially adapted to the TITANARG welding
process.
