Functioning mode 2: Request to take
over control (Slave)
The slave control panel may be required to
become master. By pressing the "M/S" but-
ton, the user requests the master control pa-
nel to take over control.
Impact on the warning lights "M" and "S"
- On
the
master
The warning light "M" is lit up and steady.
the warning light "S" flashes to inform the
user that a slave control panel requests to
take over control.
- On the requesting slave control panel t
he "M" warning light is off and "S" is lit up
and flashes.
- On
the
other
No change for those control panels. They
ignore that one of them is actually reques-
ting to take hand over control. Their "M"
warning lights
The master control panel answers
The user on the master control panel may ac-
cept to give hand over control by pressing the
"M/S" button. Return to functioning mode 1.
The master control panel doesn't answer
If after a while, no response comes from the
master control panel, the slave control panel
can cancel by pressing the "M/S" button. Its
"S" light stops flashing and remains steady.
On the master control panel, the "S" warning
light also stops flashing and remains off.
7.1.3 Functioning mode
a) Manual mode
(Functioning mode common to both doors >
DipSwitch_1_SW3 = OFF)
In manual mode, if there is a call on a door,
it won't be opened even if the other door is
closed. A visual and audible feedback is sent
to the control panels. The users are to decide
wether they open the concerned door or not.
b) Automatic mode
(Functioning mode common to both doors >
DipSwitch_1_SW3 = OFF)
In automatic mode, if it there is a call on a
door, it opens automatically if the second
door is closed. In case the second door is
open, the call willl then be stored. It will

open as soon as the other door is closed.
If there is an alarm on
one of the doors, the
stored call is cancelled
c) Manual and automatic
(Only on door 2 > DipSwitch_1_SW3 = ON)
The entrance is on manual mode and the
exit on automatic mode on the same door.
The "Manual" and "Automatic" warning lights
can be lit on at the same time.
If the DipSwitch_1_SW3 is set on "ON"
before the power up of the SAS,
the "Manual" and "Automatic" lights are lit
on. The transition from one mode to another
corresponds to what is described below.
Switching modes:
- By pressing the "Manual", button, the user
exits semi-automatic mode and switches to
automatic mode. The semi-automatic mode
warning light is lit on. The manual function
is cancelled. (Fig. A).
- By pressing the same button, the control pa-
nel switches back to semi-automatic mode.
Manual function is added. Both warning
lights are lit on (Fig. B).
Transition from semi-automatic mode to
manual mode and back
- By pressing the "Auto" button, the user exits
semi-automatic mode and switches to ma-
nual mode. The manual mode warning light
is on. The automatic function is cancelled
(Fig. C).
- By pressing the same button, the control pa-
nel switches back to semi-automatic mode.
Automatic function is added. Both warning
light are lit on (Fig. B).
