5. Code of practice

Punch and die must fit and must not be damaged.

5.1 Tool exchange (round punch)

Round punches (5) up to ø 0.79", supplied with integrated adaptor, are inserted from the top into the hydraulic cylinder (2). Round punches ø 0.79"
and up are screwed onto the enclosed adaptor. change the adaptor or punch as follows:
Disassemble the die (7). Push the support (3) to the top. Extend the piston shaft (2) approx. 0.59". Unplug power cord. Release allen screw.
Pull down and remove punch (5) or adaptor. Insert required round punch or adaptor, secure them with allen screw (fig. 3) and return cylinder.
Insert the die (7) from the bottom, for punches up to ø 1.50" with itermediate ring (8) (fig. 4). Check die clearance before punching by carefully driving
the punch to the bottom. The die clearance must have all around the same dimension (0.007"). If necessary, adjust the die clearance by releasing the
locking screw (11) (fig. 5). Retighten the screws.

Attention: Drive the support with protective cover (3) to the bottom and secure it before punching. Check punch size (can be lateally adjusted).
Ensure slugs are not obstructed.

5.2 Tool exchange (formed punch)

These punches are inserted in the same way as the round punches but you have to ensure that the locking pin (23) of the adaptor engages in the
groove of the hydraulic cylinder which prevents the punch from rotating.
The die as well as the hydraulic cylinder with punch tool (fig. 6 and 7) must be aligned with a square.
If necessary, check and adjust the die clearance (fig. 5).
