3 Safety Instructions
Please note the following for your own safety and that of
your patients:
•
Please follow the instructions in this User's Manual.
They are a part of the case and therefore must be
available at all times.
•
Prerequisites for use of this case include thorough
knowledge and observation of this User's Manual.
•
The case is intended only for the described purpose.
•
If third-party items are used, functional failures may
occur and fitness for use may be restricted. Please
note that in such cases, any claim under warranty
and liability will be voided if neither the accessories
nor genuine replacement parts recommended in the
instructions for use are used.
•
Be sure that spilled liquids (for example, from ampoules)
are cleaned up immediately. Observe the warning and
disposal regulations of the manufacturers involved.
•
To prevent infection or bacterial contamination, ob-
serve the instructions in Section "6 Hygiene prepara-
tion" on page 11.
•
If the case is equipped with oxygen cylinders and
other devices, be sure to observe the accompanying
User's Manuals and special instructions.
•
Protect the oxygen cylinders from accidents.
•
Keep the devices free from oil and grease.
•
Make sure you wash your hands before handling
oxygen cylinders.
•
When assembling the parts and when changing cylinders,
turn all screws by hand. Do not in any event use tools.
•
Always open the cylinder valve slowly.
•
Smoking and open flames are strictly forbidden in the
vicinity of oxygen-related equipment.
•
Make sure you always have adequately filled oxygen
cylinders. It is recommended that you keep a full
oxygen cylinder in reserve.
