- Salts and essences:
There are many products on the market with different properties and effects on
12
the organism. Gala recommends its customers to consult qualified professionals about their specific
needs, the possible counter-indications of the hydromassage or the advisability of using a particular
essence, gel or salt.
The Gala hydromassage is also highly recommended for aromatherapy baths, where "essential oils" are
used. The application of the hydromassage, with pressurized water directed at the body, favours the
penetration of these essential oils in the organism. This property is reinforced by the positive influence of
the pleasant aroma of the oils, as the most volatile substances contained in them are released by the
effect of the heat.
3.1. WATER HYDROMASSAGE EFFECTS
Essentially, the water massage consists of a mixture of water and air bubbles being pumped through jets
located in the sides of the bathtub. The water and air reach the jets separately and become mixed
together by means of Venturi effect aspiration.
The action of the air bubbles on the body has been proven to be highly beneficial for the health. The
following effects are particularly worth mentioning:
• Stimulates and improves skin hygiene and cardiovascular circulation.
• Generally improves capillary and lymph circulation.
• Tones the muscles and oxygenates the skin.
• It is specially recommended in case of muscular pains, lumbago, arthritis, postoperative
recoveries, stress and general states of fatigue.
3.2. AIR HYDROMASSAGE EFFECTS (According to options)
Your Gala Hydromassage Bath may be made up of several components, depending on the model and
configuration you have chosen. If your bath has an Air+Water hydromassage, you may use the air system
and the water system separately or together. These are two forms of hydromassage that compliment and
enhance the benefits of the over all massage.
The Air Hydromassage consists in releasing a certain quantity of air through jets located in the bottom of
the bath. These jets have multiple orifices that disperse air throughout the bath.
The effects of the Air Hydromassage are based on 4 main factors:
• Increase in the oxygenation of the water
The injection of air into the bath water increases the proportion of oxygen it contains. This directly affects
the skin, circulation and muscles, thus enhancing the effects of the Water Hydromassage.
•Sensation of lightness as the system produces a gentle upward pressure on the body
The air emerges from the bottom of the bath under a certain amount of pressure, and thus exerts a slight
force as it rises to the surface. This creates a massaging effect on a wide area of the body while at the
same time producing a gentle, upward pressure on it. This creates a sensation of lightness, increases
muscular relaxation and the effectiveness of your bath.
