13. Trouble-shooting
Symptom
Piston is stiff or does not move
at all
Suction or dispensing is impossible
Liquid is leaking from the gap
between the valve block and the
valves
Possible cause
- Closure cap not open
- Crystallisation at the piston or
the valves
- Volume scale set on "0" position
- Suction/ejection valve sticking
- Valves loose or damaged
Solution
- Open the closure cap (see point 7.1) unit.
- Stop dispensing and clean the dispenser
thoroughly (see point 8.2). If necessary,
soak it for 24 hours in a bath (e. g. with
20% reasol
cleaning solvent).

- Turn the adjusting ring to set the
required volume (see point 7.2 and 7.3)
- Clean the unit (see point 8.1)
- Shake the unit or tap the valve block
against the palm of the hand.
- If necessary, change the valves (see
point 10.).
- Tighten valves with the assembly wrench
Note: After sterilisation (see point 9.),
suction/ejection valves need to be
tightend.
