• Pump motor is equipped with automatic reset-
ting thermal protector that could restart unex-
pectedly. Disconnect power source when servic-
ing pump.
• Do not hang pump by the carrying handle.
Pump must be set firmly on their legs and sup-
ported by rigid piping. This minimizes twisting
which can lead to damage during pump operation.
• Do not modify or position float switch so that
pump will operate continuously. Pump is not
designed for continuous operations, this will
reduce performance and the life of the pump.

Description And Specifications

Description

A sewage system consists of a pump, control switch
and a basin for use in applications where less than six
toilets (units) are discharged into the basin. A tethered
float or diaphragm switch controls the system. The
tethered float switch is a wide angle differential switch
that rises with the liquid level and turns the pump on.
The diaphragm switch operates on the slight pressure
increase seen by the switch due to the depth of water.
As the liquid level decreases the pressure decreases
actuating the float or the diaphragm switch which turns
the pump off. This pump is intended for use in domes-
tic sewage lift stations. It is suitable for pumping
sewage, effluent, wastewater groundwater, and other
non-explosive, non-corrosive liquids with up to 2"
solids.
NOTICE
!
Use pump only with liquids compati-
ble with pump component materials. Pump damage or
failure could occur if not used accordingly, and will void
the warranty.

DANGER
!
• Do not use to pump fluids such as gasoline,
fuel oil, or kerosene. Do not use in a flammable
or explosive atmosphere. Improper use could
result in personal injury and/or death.
WARNING
!
To prevent property damage, seri-
ous injury, or death, proper installation of the pump
is required. The following procedures should be
followed:
• Pump must be plugged into a grounded outlet
receptacle that includes a Ground Fault Circuit
Interrupter (GFCI).
• Always disconnect the power source before
attempting to install, service, relocate, or main-
tain the pump. Never handle a pump or pump
motor with wet hands or when standing on wet
or damp surface or in water when power is con-
