Preparing the Garment
Battery Charging
 Use only the battery chargers listed on the accessories
page. Only these battery chargers are matched to the lith-
ium ion battery of your power tool.
 The battery adapter does not serve as a charger. Do not
use any vehicle charging cables with USB connection to
charge the battery. Using vehicle charging cables can
damage the battery and/or the battery adapter.
Note: The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full
capacity of the battery, completely charge the battery in the
battery charger before using your power tool for the first time.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time without re-
ducing its service life. Interrupting the charging procedure
does not damage the battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep discharging
by the "Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)". The heating ele-
ments are switched off by a protective circuit when the bat-
tery is discharged.
 Do not continue to press the on/off switch after the
heating elements have been automatically switched
off. The battery can be damaged.
Battery Insertion/Removal (see figures A1 – A2)
 Do not use force to insert the battery. The battery is de-
signed in such a way that it can only be inserted into the
battery adapter when it is in the right position.

Charging External Devices (see figure D)
You can use the USB port on the battery adapter to increase
the battery runtime of various battery-operated devices, e.g.
mobile phone or MP3 player.
This can also be done whilst the garment is being heated.
 Ensure that your external device can be charged using
the USB port on the battery adapter. Refer to the spec-
