Cleaning the installation area on the
vehicle
Wipe dirt and oil off the roof and
moldings using diluted mild detergent,
and then dry the wiped area.
*Shaded area in the figure.
Do not use organic solvents such as thinner or benzene to
clean dirt and oil.

Applying the protection sheets
Apply 2 protection sheets at 4 carrier
installation locations (8 sheets total)
aligning their respective center to the
rear nut on the vehicle at the FRONT
installation locations.

On the REAR installation locations,
align their respective center to the front
nut on the vehicle. (See Figure 1), and
also place one edge of the protection
sheet along the radius curve of the
roof molding (See Figure 2).

Placing the cushion bases
RR
Insert the spacer into the cushion base
installation hole. At the FRONT
installation location, align the hole with
the rear nut of the vehicle.
At the REAR installation locations
RL
align the hole with the front nut of the
vehicle and place it over the cover on
the installation location.
There are 4 different kinds of cushion bases.
Check the punch marks.
