SAFETY REGULATIONS

1. Before using the device, please read this user manual carefully.
2. Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or other components are damaged.
3. If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Van den Berg Products, a service
centre authorised by Van den Berg Products or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a
safety hazard.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction regarding the use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
5. Keep the device out of reach of children. Careful supervision is required if the device is
used near children. Never allow children to use the device.
6. Only use the device for its intended purpose as described in this user manual.
7. Do not immerse the device in water or in any other liquid.
8. Use only the power cable that has been supplied with the device.
9. Place the device on a solid surface. Preferably do not use a soft surface like, for example, an
artificial fibre table cloth. The device should not be placed on a vulnerable surface, such as a
glass table, a table cloth, painted furniture, etc.
10. Ensure the power cable never hangs over the edge of a table. You must always place the
power cable in such a manner that no-one can trip over it.
11. Do not pull the plug from the wall socket by its power cord. To pull the plug from the wall
socket, take the plug and carefully pull it from the wall socket.
12. To avoid electric shocks ensure that the device and the power cable are dry.
13. Do not use the device outdoors.
14. Do not leave the device unattended when the plug is in the wall socket. Take the plug from
the wall socket when you are not using the device or when carrying out maintenance.
15. Do not use any accessories that are not recommended by the supplier, especially not
accessories that have not been supplied with the device.
16. Before use, check whether the mains voltage corresponds with rating label of the device.
17. Never immerse the motor housing into water or into any other liquids. Never use the device
with wet hands.
18. When the device is switched on and the motor is running, you may NEVER put your hands
or any other objects in the machine!
19. Do not operate the juicer for more than 3 minutes at a time when you juice heavy loads and l
et it cool down sufficiently afterwards.
20. Use this device exclusively for the preparation of fruit and vegetable juices.
21. Never bend the mains lead sharply, nor let it lie on hot parts.
22. Never place the device near equipment that produces heat, such as ovens, gas cookers,
cooking rings, etc. Keep the device away from walls or other objects that can catch fire, such
as curtains, towels (cotton or paper, etc.)
23. If you wish to move the device, you must see that it is switched off. You must use both
hands when moving the device.
24. Use only the enclosed pounder for pressing on pieces of fruit or vegetables that are stuck in
the opening.
