12. Troubleshooting

Submersion pressure pump does not take in water
• Open a shut-off valve on the pressure side if present, because air cannot escape
• Clean intake openings (disconnect submersion pressure pump from the mains voltage first!)
• Water level too low (minimum level approx. 5 cm); only air is taken in
The submersion pressure pump does not start up or stops in operation
• Check power supply
• Impeller inside the pump is blocked by contamination (disconnect pump from mains voltage, remove hose and flush
inside of the pump)
• Float switch not placed correctly
• The overload protection triggered. Disconnect the submersion pressure pump from the mains voltage and remove
the cause for the overload (e.g. intake opening clogged, water too deep, etc).
• The overtemperature protection triggered. Disconnect the submersion pressure pump from the mains voltage and
let the submersion pressure pump cool off. Remove the cause for triggering (e.g. water temperature too high,
running dry too long, etc).
Conveyed volume drops
• Check intake openings, remove contamination if required
• Submersion pressure pump sucks in air because the intake openings are not completely submersed anymore
• Check hose attachment to the hose adapter
• Check hose for leaks
Float switch does not trigger or does not switch off
• Place float switch correctly
• Connect cable to the float switch to the side of the eyelet so that the float switch switches off correctly when a low
water level is reached, e.g. in a cistern
