7. Placement of the Submersion Pressure Pump

• Attach a sufficiently strong, water-tight rope to the carry handle (2) to lower the submersion pressure pump, e.g.
into a well.
The submersion pressure pump must never be held by the mains cable or attached by the hose! This may
damage the mains cable; there is danger to life from electric shock!
Fasten the rope to a suitable holder.
Never put the submersion pressure pump with the intake opening into dirt, sludge or leaf residue, e.g. in a rain
barrel, because this will clog the pump.
• For hose connection, the included L-shaped hose adapter must be used. Depending on the hose diameter used,
the hose adapter must be shortened accordingly. Proceed in the same manner if the screw thread of the hose
adapter is to be used for connection.
• There is an eyelet (6) on the side of the carry handle (6). It serves to fasten the cable to the float switch.
The activation/deactivation water level will later result from the position in which the float switch cable is attached.
Fasten the cable to the float switch very carefully and set the correct cable length for your application site.

8. Commissioning

• After lowering the submersion pressure pump into the well, etc. by a rope, plug the mains plug into a properly
installed protective ground mains socket.
This must be an IP44 mains socket for operation in the outdoor area.
The mains plug must only be plugged into the mains socket when dry. There is danger to life from electric
shock otherwise!
• When the float switch is placed correctly, the submersion pressure pump will switch on and start taking in water
and transporting it through the exit opening.
The submersion pressure pump is self-intaking and should covey water after a few seconds.
• The submersion pressure pump switches off automatically when the float switch drops.
The submersion pressure pump can also be operated manually by fastening the float switch to the
submersion pressure pump eyelet accordingly or placing it higher.
The submersion pressure pump must not be operated unsupervised then, because the submersion
pressure pump will not switch off if there is no water, which would damage the pump.
