Caution! If additional signalling and display
units or locking elements are connected, the
total load on the operating voltage (24 VDC)
must not exceed 1A.

Installation

When installing an escape door control system,
take care to comply with the applicable rules
and regulations.
The electrical connections to the items of
equipment and their variants must be carried
out strictly in accordance with the related
connection diagrams.
The use of shielded leads is recommended in
buildings where severe electrical interference
may occur.
Control leads:
Maximum lead length, 300 m.
Minimum lead diameter, 0.6 mm
Lead to locking element:
Maximum lead length, 300 m
The cross-section must be configured in such
a way that a voltage of 24 V is delivered to the
locking element as the operating voltage.
For reasons of safety, we recommend that the
electrical installation be concealed or laid in
heavy-duty wiring conduits.
After the installation has been carried out to
specification, the system can be put into service.
Before it is switched on, the power supply of
220 V (24 VDC in the case of an external power
supply) should be verified.
Locking the escape door control system
Following the connection and inspection of the
system, the functions of the escape door control
unit 720-10 must be tested (unlocking,
emergency unlocking and resetting).
TK For this test, the escape door must first be
closed, thereby also closing the door
contact (closed circuit line to door contact).
NT The emergency switch (in the door
terminal) must not be pressed. If
necessary, release the emergency button
manually.
– Switch on the main power supply circuit.
The escape door locking element will
lock the escape door.
TT The red LED will light up at the door
terminal, indicating „Escape door locked"
status.

If the escape door control system at the
door terminal is set to „Door locked" status,
even though
(a) the emergency switch has been
operated,
(b) the fire alarm system (if applicable)
has been set off, or
(c) the central emergency unlocking
system (if applicable) has been
activated,
the system will immediately switch to
„Emergency unlocking" status. This also
takes place when the power supply is
restored after a power cut.
