br 01 tourbillon airborne
Te c h n i c a l N o t e s
This ultra-sophisticated instrument combines four complementary compli-
cations. The Tourbillon that guarantees accuracy by compensating for the
force of gravity in a vertical position. The Trust Index that indicates the
period of time when the watch is at its most accurate. The Regulator that
separates the reading of the hour and minute hands by favoring the latter.
The Power reserve indicator that displays the remaining running time.
General Description
The BR 01 Tourbillon has four additional complications built in: a tourbillon, a regula-
tor, a precision indicator and a power reserve indicator.
Movement
: mechanical, manual winding with tourbillon. Carbon fibre bridges.
27 rubies. 21 600 vibrations/hour. 120 hour power reserve (5 days).
Regulator:
hour counter at midday and large minute counter in the middle of the
dial.

Disassembly of the two strap fasteners anD the strap
There are four main assemblies in the case of your watch:
Assembly 1: the main body of the case with the crown (H)
Assembly 2: the «cover» of the case with the sapphire crystal
Assembly 3: the caseback with its four screws (L)
Assembly 4: the two strap fasteners (G)
These four assemblies are made up with two types of screw visible on each face of
the case: the four screws (F) and the four split-head screws (L) fix the cover and
the caseback to the body of the case and ensure that the watch is water-resistant*.
The eight hollow-head screws (I and J) (6-sided hollow/1.3 mm in diameter) attach
the strap to the fasteners and also the strap fasteners to the case. These screws
may be handled with care by using the two appropriate tools supplied with the
watch in its presentation case.

water-resistance. This is achieved by pushing the crown to position 0 and simulta-
neously turning it clockwise. The crown should never be manipulated under water.
maintenance
It is advisable to rinse the watch and its strap carefully in fresh water after every
immersion in sea water. It is also advisable to have the water-resistance of your
watch checked every two years. To guarantee service in compliance with brand
requirements, any work on your watch must be carried out by the Bell & Ross
repair centre or a Bell & Ross-approved watchmaker. You should present the Bell
& Ross warranty card, duly dated and signed by the retailer when the watch was
purchased, for any work within the warranty period.

Position the power reserve and Trust Index hands during optimum movement running.
Trust Index
The top section corresponds to high barrel tension: the watch is slow.
The mid-section represents an optimum running zone: the watch is accurate.
The lower section corresponds to low barrel tension: the watch is fast.
Loosen and pull the crown to position 1, then wind the mechanism by turning the crown
clockwise until the Trust Index hand is positioned in the central zone.
