5. What to do, if...

...the tool does not shut-off?
-
Is the valve stem <38> the correct length (see 7. Assembly
instructions, fig. 8)
-
Is the flow pressure too low?
-
Is the torque adjustment checked?
-
Is the speed adjustment checked?
-
Is sufficient oil in the pulse unit?
-
Are you tightening an elastic joint (e.g. extension, expansion fit
bolt)?
-
Is the interior diameter of the air supply line too low?
... the torque scatter is too wide?
-
Is the flow pressure too high?
-
Is there air inside the pulse-unit?
-
Is the output speed to high?

6. Repairs

6.1 Dismounting the pulse shut-off nutsetter
-
Clamp the air deflector <35> on the tool in a soft-jawed vise.
-
Loosen the lock ring <101> counterclockwise with a 41 mm
wrench and remove the pulse-unit.
-
Remove counterclockwise the air strainer <1> with a 17 mm
wrench.
-
Remove the countersunk screw <17> and the reverse button
<16>.
-
Remove the tool from the vice.
-
Remove adapter key <7>.
-
Clamp attachment asm. <36> in vise, loosen motor housing <56>
with an key wrenchand remove.
-
Pull out the gear asm. from the housing <56> and loosen the nut
ring <60> with the socket A/F27 and remove it.
-
Remove housing <55>.
-
Loosen the motor housing <56> with a hook wrench and remove
it.

6.2 Dismounting the Pulse Unit

Disassemble only if filling with oil filling unit <A> is
possible! The pulse unit must be cooled to room
temperature.
-
Dismount pulse unit <65> from the lock ring <101>.
-
Clamp the hydraulic cylinder <88> by its flat surfaces in flat vice
jaws.
To avoid endangering health or the environment, study
and comply with all Federal, State and Local Regulations.
-
Remove the bearing ring <66> with fixture <C2>.
-
Loosen the lock screw <89>.
-
Take the pulse unit from the vice.
-
Remove the lock screw <89> while holding the pulse unit above
an oil collecting dish and separate the unit by light pressure on the
hydraulic rotor <81>.
Hydraulic blade is spring loaded!
-
Remove parts mounted inside the hydraulic rotor by removing the
retaining ring <67>
-
Clean all parts.

Caution!
Use only original CLECO spare parts. Otherwise the
tool's output may deteriorate or excessive maintenance
may be required. If foreign spares are mounted this may
void the warranty.

6.3 Mounting the pulse unit

-
Mount in opposite sequence to dismounting (8. Spare parts
drawing).
-
Be sure to mount the hydraulic cylinder <81> correctly to the blade
<83> (7. Assembly Instructions fig. 1 through 5).
-
Screw the bearing ring <66> with fixture <C> ( fig. 6)
-
Fill in oil according to 6.4
