Dispensing from the cartridge
By operating the trigger valve, pressure is applied to the dispensing unit - the dispensing process begins.
−
When the trigger is fully pressed, the whole pressure is available in the working cylinder
dispensing is carried out at max. speed
By releasing the trigger the gun is partially vented
−
dispensing becomes slower
Further release of the trigger leads to complete venting
dispensing is stopped
The time taken by the venting depends on how empty the cartridge is: When the cartridge is almost empty, stopping the
dispensing can be expected to take more time.
Dispensing of the material must be done only to suitable surfaces.
Do not point at people.
Wear gloves and goggles.
Ejection of foil bags with adapter for foil cartridges
The processing of foil bags takes place in the same way cartridges are ejected.
Breaks in the work
During breaks all pressure should be released from the gun. To do this, disconnect the compressed air supply and then briefly operate
the trigger.
After use always store the gun protected from damage and contamination.
Storage should be at room temperature and normal atmospheric humidity.
5. Maintenance
Pressure-bearing parts
The PowerLine II cartridge gun should be maintained in accordance with the usual practices for pressure equipment:
−
Regularly check the pressure-bearing parts for wear and damage, and replace if necessary. This applies to the retainer nut in
particular.
−
The pressure regulator, the safety valve and the manometer should be regularly checked for correct operation and replaced
if necessary
Dirt trap
Regularly clean the dirt trap, check for damage, and replace if necessary.
If the dirt trap is very clogged, the dispensing performance reduces.
Cartridge nut
In order to ensure ease of movement of the cartridge nut when screwing it on, the o-ring on
the cartridge cylinder should always be lightly greased.
Keep the threads of the cartridge cylinder and the nut dry and free of grease!
Cleaning the housing
The gun can be disassembled for cleaning and reassembled without special tools.
Assembly must be done only by persons with the appropriate qualification.
−
Do not use harsh cleaning substances.
−
Use a suitable grease on seals (e.g. Klüber ISOFLEX Topas NB-52); replace dam-
aged seals.
- 13 -
Keep the thread free of grease
Lightly grease the o-ring
