Working Principle

T he c lock c ontains a rec eiver, whic h rec eives a radio -signal from a radio s tation loc ated
near Frankfurt, G ermany. T his long -wave radio-signal (D CF77) is based on atomic
c loc ks and c ontains time and date information. T he c lock automatically s ynchronizes
with this mas ter c lock radio -signal and when nec essary adjusts the pos itions of s ec ond,
minute or hour hands of the c loc k.
D ue to its nature, the radio - signal c an be rec eived indoors. H owever, it s hould be noted
that the s ignal is weakened by the pres ence of c oncrete and metal. T herefore, the c lock
mus t not be ins talled in c oncrete basements or ins ide metal c ages. I n large c on crete
offic e buildings or apartments, the c lock s hould be loc ated near a window for better
rec eption.
A ls o, avoid ins talling the c lock near s trong magnetic fields or other devices that
generate a lot of elec trical noise (e.g. engines ).
