4. Plug in the cap connector to the amplifier and turn on the impedance control mode.
5. Treat your skin to reduce impedance.
In places where there are contact electrodes with skin, separate hair, and
treat skin with special abrasive gel, following the instructions of the
manufacturer.
Fat, lacquer for hair and other contamination skin increase impedance
and impede quality registration EEG.
6. Add an electrically conductive gel to each electrode.
The gel is injected with a syringe using a blunt needle through a hole in the
electrode. In the process of adding the gel with the rotational movements
of the needles, spread the hair under the electrode. Gel must be sufficient
to provide electrical contact, but it does not have to go beyond the limits of
the body of the electrode. Avoid connection stains electrically conductive
gel between adjacent electrodes.
Use only special needles with blunt tip.
It is recommended to use disposable needles. In the case of using reusable needles, before
each use it is necessary to clean them and disinfect.
