When vacuuming concrete or similar materials, generat-
ing fine dust, as well as during automatic mode with pow-
er tools (VC 1430MS), the pleated filter must be brushed
and dusted off more often. This is an important prerequi-
site for the reliable operation and long life of your vacuum
cleaner. If you notice that the suction force decreases or
in case you ascertain that the pleated filter is damaged,
you must replace it immediately with a new one.
AUTOMATIC MODE WITH POWER TOOLS
(VC 1430MS)
▪ Make sure that the appliance is not plugged into the
power mains.
▪ Open the clamps and remove the upper section.
▪ Check to make sure that the tank (10) is free of dust
and dirt.
▪ Place а pleated filter (18), appropriate for the intended
operation, in the filter basket and screw the cap on the
filter basket. Place back the upper section on the tank
and close the clamps (Fig.16c).
▪ Set the ON/OFF switch of the power tool you intend to
operate to the "OFF" position "O".
WET VACUUM CLEANING
WARNING: Never vacuum up hazardous ma-
terials.
▪ Make sure that the appliance is not plugged into the
power mains.
▪ Check to make sure that the tank (10) is free of dust
and dirt.
▪ The appliance is shipped from the factory with a pleat-
ed filter. Remove the pleated filter (18) which is not
appropriate for wet vacuum cleaning.
▪ Remove the dust bag (24) and the dry filter (20) in
case you have used them prior to wet vacuum clean-
ing (VC 1220M).
▪ Only leave the foam plastic filter (19) (Fig.12) over the
filter basket.
▪ Place the upper section on the tank once again and

▪ Connect the vacuum cleaner adapter (22) to the dust
extraction of the power tool (Fig.17).
▪ Plug the power tool into the built-in socket (7) of the
vacuum cleaner.
▪ Insert the vacuum cleaner plug into the mains supply
socket.
▪ Set the vacuum cleaner switch (2) to the "ON" position
"I".
▪ Set the automatic mode switch (3) into position "=".
▪ Switch on the power tool.
The vacuum cleaner will switch on automatically as soon
as you switch on the power tool. When you switch off the
power tool, the vacuum cleaner will also switch off after
a pre-set delay.

▪ Place the large end of the hose on the front air intake
stub on the tank (Fig.9).
▪ Select a nozzle (15, 17, 25) or the telescopic tube (14)
and slide it over the suction tube (13), (Fig.10).
▪ Make sure that the ON/OFF switch (2) on the appli-
ance is in the "OFF" position "O" before you plug the
power plug into the socket.
▪ Insert the plug into the socket.
▪ Switch the motor on (ON/OFF switch (2) in position
"I").
▪ When you have finished wet vacuuming, switch the
motor off by putting the ON/OFF switch (2) into the
„OFF" position "O".
▪ Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
▪ After use, empty and dry the tank (10).
Tip: If you want to vacuum up a large quantity of liquid
from a sink or a tank, please don't put the entire suc-
tion nozzle in the liquid; rather leave a little space so that
