6. Operation
Important
• Do not jam the mains cable [10] e.g. in a
drawer or door.
• Straighten the mains cable [10] if it becomes
twisted.
• Do not pull, twist or kink the mains cable [10];
do not pull or lay it across/on sharp, pointy
objects or hot surfaces.
Warning
• Stand on a dry, electrically non-conductive
surface.
• Ensure that your hands are dry!
• Dry your hair beforehand with a towel.
• Depending on the switch setting and duration
of use, the round brush [1], the thermal brush
[2] and the unit can become very hot – burn
and fire hazard! Do not touch the round brush
[1] or the thermal brush [2].
• Let the round brush [1] and the thermal brush
[2] cool down first before you take them off.
• Place the unit only on a non-combustible
surface.
• Ensure that there are no highly flammable
liquids in the vicinity of the unit.
• Do not use the unit on artificial hair – fire
hazard!
• Ensure that no hair can be directly sucked in.
note
After switching on the unit for the first time, a
light odour develops for the first minutes. This
is normal and not hazardous to your health. Let
the unit run for three to five minutes. Then you
can use the unit normally.
• If the unit becomes overheated, it switches off
automatically for your safety.
• Remove the plug from the socket and let the
unit cool down.
• Before switching the unit on again, check
the air outlet [3] and the air intake filter [7] for
blockage (e.g. sucked-in lint, dust, hair).
Changing attachments
• Press the release button and pull the attach-
ment (e.g. the round brush [1]) off of the hot
air styler.
• Line up the imprinted arrow on the other at-
tachment (e.g. the thermal brush [2]) with the
release button.
• Push the attachment onto the hot air styler
until you hear it click into place.
