Warning
The safety of the instrument is guaranteed only
with proper use following these instructions. It
is therefore necessary to keep them for future
reference. Disconnect from main electricity
supply during installation and/or replacement of
the bulb.
The heating source of IRCW13 is a halogen
lamp that is easy to replace. The life of the lamp
will depend among other things on surrounding
temperature and positioning.

Construction
IRC consists of a halogen lamp with a very high
intensity and a brightly-polished reflector for
optimum heat distribution. Casing of powder-
coated aluminium alloy with protective glass.
Thermo resistant temperate front glass. Silicone
rubber seal gasket. Nylon-glass wiring box
complete with PG11 cable clamp and terminal.
Use cable type H05VV-F 3x1.Weight: 2.5 kg
IP54 = Instrument protected against dust and
water sprays
• The yellow-green conductor must be inserted
into the clamp labelled with the "earth"
symbol.
• The torque setting should be at least 8 Nm.
• The appliance must be installed on non-
flammable surfaces.
• It is suitable for installation above 2.5 - 4
metres in height.
• The apparatus cannot be used without glass,
in case of damage the glass must be replaced
before use.
• The heater should be positioned so as to be
normally out of reach of people.
• The apparatus must not be installed
immediately under an electric socket.
• The apparatus must always be mounted in
horizontal position.
• The appliance has been designed to be used
outdoors.

The CE mark indicates that the

instrument has been manufactured
according to European Community directives
regarding low voltage and electromagnetic
compatibility for lighting instruments.

Important

• Due to high start up current we recommend
use of C-class fuses.
• To ensure the maximum heat output we
recommend, after two hours use, to open the
glass and then clean this and the reflector with
a cloth. In normal situations this operation
has to be done only once. Disconnect from
main electricity supply before cleaning.
• Never use an extension cable.
• Replacement of the cable must be carried out
50 Hz
by a qualified electrician.
• If in doubt please contact a qualified
electrician.
• IRCW13 heater must be placed at a safe
distance (clear space) of minimum 2.0 m
from combustible material like cardboard,
fabrics, curtains, etc. If heaters are placed
in workshops or garages where there are
flammable paints or liquids, they must be
placed at a minimum distance of 4 m from
such objects.
• If the heater is installed in proximity of
curtains, ensure that the appliance cannot
touch them.
• Keep out of reach of children.
Changing lamp
1 Disconnect heater from main supply.
2 Ensure the appliance is cold.
3 Remove the 2 cross head screws and open the
front glass
4 Push on one side of the bulb and release the
bulb
5 Insert the bulb repeating this operation in the
opposite direction without touching the bulb
with bare hands
6 Close the front glass, ensuring it fits perfectly
in the gasket
