locking sleeve to fix the chisel (Fig. 2).
To remove the chisel, pull the locking sleeve (2) back-
wards (Fig. 3).
ADJUSTING THE CHISEL
WARNING: Switch off and unplug the ma-
chine prior to any procedure on the power tool.
The chisel can be fixed in 12 positions, thus enabling
proper operating position for any application.
Pull forward the chisel adjusting ring (3) and rotate it to
the desired position (Fig. 4). Release the chisel adjusting
ring to its initial position.
SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING OFF
WARNING: Before plugging in the tool,
always check to see that the trigger switch (4) actuates
properly and returns to OFF position when released.
Brief activation (Fig. 5)
▪
Switching on: Press ON/OFF switch (4).
▪
Switching off: Release ON/OFF switch (4).
Continuous operation (Fig. 6)
▪
Switching on: Press ON/OFF switch (4) and in
pressed position lock it by button (6).
▪
Switching off: Press ON/OFF switch (4) once and
release it immediately.
WARNING: At low temperature ≤ 0ºC (32ºF)
or if the power tool has not been used for a long period
(after storage in warehouse / shop / house) there might
be no impact action at start because of the thickened
lubricant. In this case, let the power tool run for 1.5
minutes at no load in order to warm up, thus achieving
improved lubrication and prolonged life of the power
tool.
SELECTING THE PROPER IMPACT RATE FOR
THE JOB
▪
The light pressure on ON/OFF switch (4) results in
low impact rate, further pressing the switch results in
smooth increase of the ipm to maximum upon reach-
ing the extreme position (Fig. 7).
▪
Impact rate pre-selection: The necessary impact rate
can be pre-selected by rotating the regulator dial (5)
in direction "G" for increasing, and towards "A" for de-
creasing the speed.

Maintenance
WARNING: Always ensure that the tool is
switched off and unplugged before attempting to per-
form inspection or maintenance.
INSPECTIONS
Inspecting the bit
Longer operation life of the demolition hammer and
higher efficiency can be achieved only with well-
sharpened tools for demolition and chiselling.
Operating with a dull tool will degrade efficiency and may
cause malfunction. When signs of abrasion are noted, it
is necessary to sharpen or replace the toll immediately.
Inspecting the cord
Make sure the cord and the plug are in order. If the re-
placement of the supply cord is necessary, this has to be
done by the manufacturer or his agent in order to avoid
a safety hazard.
Inspecting the fasteners
Regularly inspect all fasteners and ensure they are
properly tightened (Fig. 8). Should any of the screws be
loose, retighten it immediately to avoid hazards.
Motor maintenance
To prevent motor damage never allow contact of motor
windings with water or oil.
Brush replacement
This power tool is equipped with auto-stop brushes.
When the carbon brushes are worn out, the machine
switches itself off. In this case both brushes must be re-
placed simultaneously with genuine brushes at SPARKY
service centre for warranty and post-warranty service.
CLEANING
For safe operation always keep the machine and its ven-
tilation slots (7) clean.
Always clean the ventilation slots and the tool holder af-
ter operation carefully with a dry brush.
Never operate a power tool with clogged ventilation slots.
Exterior plastic parts may be cleaned with a damp cloth
and mild detergent.
WARNING: Although exterior plastic parts are
highly solvent resistant, never use solvents!
IMPORTANT! To assure product safety and reliability,
repairs, maintenance and adjustment (including brush
inspection and replacement) should be performed by
certified service centres or other qualified service or-
ganisations, always using genuine replacement parts.
