Pull out gently on the right side of
the water filter bypass to expose the
handles, as shown below.

Remove the water filter bypass by pulling
it outward. Save it in case it is needed in
the future. It is normal for a few drops of
water to drip after the bypass has been
removed.
6.
Remove the plastic wrap from the
outside of the filter.
7.
Insert the water filter into the mechanism
and push back on the right side to lock it
in place.
8.
Replace the crisper drawers.
9.
Connect the power plug to the electrical
outlet.
10. Touch the Ice key on the control panel to
turn on the ice maker.
Installation
The water filter must be replaced every 6
months. See page 18.
Enabling Filter Change Indicator
The filter change indicator is not enabled at
the factory. It must be enabled when the filter
is installed.
1.
Touch Key Lock on the control panel
momentarily.
2.
With the Key Lock indicator lit, touch
and release the following keys in order.

When the keys are touched
in the correct order, the
key lock indicator will turn
off, and the filter change
indicator light will turn on.
4.
Touch Filter reset 3" (Key
Lock) for three seconds to begin
calculating the filter usage time
automatically.
Repeat the same procedure to disable the
filter change indicator light.
