2 Safety Notes
This device is in accordance with the directive for
electromagnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC as well as
the directive for low voltage 73/23/EEC.
The device is supplied with dangerous mains volt-
age (230 V~). Therefore, do not open the device.
Inadequate handling may cause an electric shock.
Leave servicing to authorized, skilled personal only.
In addition, any kind of guarantee expires when
opening the device.
Please observe the following items in any case:

The device is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
from humidity and heat (admissible ambient tem-
perature 0–40 °C).
Do not operate the unit or immediately disconnect
the plug from the mains socket
1. if there is visible damage to the unit or to the

Have the device repaired in a technical workshop.
A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by
the manufacturer or an authorized technical work-
shop.
Do not pull the mains plug out of the socket by the

If the device is used for other purposes than orig-
inally intended, if it is wrongly operated or not re-
paired by an expert, no liability can be assumed.
Should the device definitively be put out of opera-
tion, it has to be disposed of in a local recycling
plant.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord-
ance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:

3 Application
Purpose of the devices PT-24 and PTL-124 is to con-
trol in video monitoring systems the camera panning /
tilting devices equipped with 24 V a.c. motors (e. g.
VP-55 and VPT-50 by MONACOR). In addition, a
motor zoom lens can be controlled with model
PTL-124 (e. g. VMZL-8014A by MONACOR). Further-
more, the devices supply a monitoring camera with a
d.c. voltage of 12 V (max. 500 mA).
