CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

For hygienic reasons the appliance interior, including interior accessories, should be
cleaned regularly.
CAUTION
Danger of electrical shock! Before cleaning switch the appliance off
and remove the plug from the mains, or switch off or turn out the circuit

Defrosting
The evaporator is gradually covered with frost. This should be removed.
Never use sharp metal tools to scrape the ice off the evaporator as you could damage
the evaporator. If the ice on the evaporator becomes very thick, you should defrost the
appliance completely. Proceed as follows:
• Unplug the appliance from the wall socket.
• Remove all food stored in the refrigerator, wrap it in several layers of newspaper
and store it in a cool place.
• Leave the refrigerator door open and place a bowl under the appliance to catch
the condensation.
• Wipe the refrigerator thoroughly dry after defrosting.
• Insert the plug into the socket to put the appliance back into operation.
