4. PAIRING THE REPEATER
4.1 LEARN Mode
Only the remote control units recorded in the repeater are reissued, therefore it is necessary to pair all the remote
control units with the repeater according to the procedure described below.
If there are several repeaters on a site it is then essential to perform this operation on each repeater.
3.1.1 Pairing procedure
To avoid triggering an alarm during this procedure we recommand that the receiver be disconnected
from the external inputs of the Sigma master clock (do not disconnect the power from the receiver).
- Make sure the repeater in the «Learn» mode, «Mode» DIP
- Press briefly the «Learn» button
The «Learn» LED
Press on a key of the remote control unit to do the pairing.
- The operation is finished. This operation must be repeated to do additional pairing.
3.1.2 Deleting remote controls memorized in LEARN mode
Follow the procedure described below to delete the memorized remote controls.
- Press briefly on the «Learn» button
- When the «Learn» LED
LED turns OFF.
- Release the «Learn» button, the LED flashes 5 times. The memory is now totally empty.
4.2 TEST Mode
This mode allows you to test the link between the repeater and the receiver (or another repeater).
In order to be able to perform this test it is necessary to record a test frame from a remote control unit already paired
with the site receiver.
1/ How to record the test frame:
- Use a remote control unit already paired with the site receiver.
- Press the «Test» button
- Press one of the 4 keys of the remote control unit.
- When the recording of the test frame is correctly validated the «Test» LED comes ON and stays ON for 1 sec.
- The «Test» button is now operationnal to perform the link test.
2/ How to perform the test:
- Press the «Test» button
- The «Test» LED
- If the LED goes OFF the test has failed.
- The test was successful if the LED stays ON (solid) for several seconds (max 3 sec.).
