Calibration method:
- Place the instrument where no metal neither strong magnetic
interferences are present (e.g.: hold the tool up in the air)
- Press the metal button (3) again until the buzzer stops soun-
ding and the green light (1) lights up: the calibration has been
completed.
- Release the button (3) to detect metal objects.
Object detection
The detector can be used to find the objects below the detection
area "8"
Metal objects detection
To scan for metal objects, press the metal detection button.
The screen shows the metal detection symbol and the green
light (1) lights up.
Place the instrument on the surface to be scanned and move
it sideways.
When the instrument approaches a metal object, the intensity
level of the signal (d) on the display changes colour: from green
to yellow and then to red, and the response level of the detected
signal (h) changes from 0 to maximum number of 100%.
As you move away from the object detected, the degree of signal
intensity changes colour from red to yellow and then to green,
and the response level of the detected signal decreases gradual-
ly till to return to 0.
When the display shows the maximum value it means that the
metal object is located under the centre of the instrument sensor.
The cross of the "g" icon is shown on the display. The indicator
led flashes red and the instrument emits a constant acoustic
signal.
When scanning metal objects, the value indicating the detection
depth (f) is shown on the display according to the detected signal
fluctuation.
The accuracy of the depth value depends on the shape and posi-
tion of the object being scanned.
Wooden objects detection
To detect wooden objects, it is necessary to adjust the instru-
ment.
Lean the detector to the wall, press the wood detection button (4)
and do not move the instrument until the green light (1) lights up.
The instrument has completed the calibration and the symbol (j)
is shown on the display.
Place the instrument on the surface to be scanned and move
it sideways.
When the instrument approaches a wooden object, the intensity
level of the signal (d) on the display changes colour: from green
to yellow and then to red, and the response level of the detected
signal (h) changes from 0 to maximum number of 100%.
As you move away from the object detected, the degree of signal
intensity changes colour from red to yellow and then to green,
