Each key allows the selection of one or more patterns. Besides each key there
is a series of luminous indicators, one for each pattern which may selected. The lit up
indicator signals the active pattern. Keys allowing selection of more than one pattern
have to be repeatedly pressed to sequentially select the various patterns. For example,
to select the 5-step grey scale pattern (5 STEP) press the 10 STEP - 5 STEP key
twice, so long as you are not starting off from the 10-step pattern itself, in which case it
will only be necessary to press once.
