• If the mains connection cable of this electric underblanket is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, its customer service department or a similarly qualified person to avoid
any risk.
• Repairs may only be carried out by specially trained personnel or at an authorised repair
workshop, as special tools are required. Incorrect repairs may cause considerable danger to
the user.

2. Proper Use

This heated underblanket is designed for warming beds. It is not intended for use in hospitals
or for commercial applications. In particular, it may not be used for infants, small children,
persons insensitive to heat, helpless persons or animals.
3. PURE ® silver particle finishing
The upper side of this electric underblanket (UB90: printed side; UB100: fleecy
side) is finished with PURE ® silver particles. This special finishing improves
hygiene by reducing the build-up of odour and bacteria. The underblanket can
be washed as described and the finishing will not wash out.
4. Operation
4.1 Safety
This heated underblanket is equipped with the SAFETY SYSTEM. This electronic sensor tech-
nology prevents the entire surface of the heated underblanket from overheating by automati-
cally switching off in the event of a fault. If the safety system switches off the heated under-
blanket automatically as a result of a fault, the temperature level display on the switch is no
longer illuminated even when the heated underblanket is switched on. Please note that, after
a fault has occurred, the heated underblanket can no longer be used for safety reasons and
must be sent to the service address indicated.

4.2 Initial use

Lay the electric underblanket smoothed out on your mattress with the
plug-in coupling roughly at shoulder level (see figure).
The electric underblanket can be used on both sides.
Make sure that the electric underblanket is always smoothed out flat and
does not crumple or form folds during use. When making the bed, check
the position of the electric underblanket – it must only be switched on
when it is flat and smoothed out. We recommend switching on the electric
underblanket approx. 30 minutes before going to bed and covering it with
the duvet in order to prevent heat loss.
