all times. This enables better control
of the power tool in unexpected
situations.
• Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear
loose clothing or jewellery. Keep
hair, clothing and gloves well away
from moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewellery or long hair can be caught
in moving parts. Rubber gloves and
nonslip footwear are recommended
when working outdoors.
• If facilities are provided for the
connection of a dust extractor and
collection facilities, ensure these
are connected and properly used.
Use of these mechanisms can reduce
dustrelated hazards.

Service

• Have your power tool serviced by
a qualified repair person using only
original replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the power
tool is maintained.
Special safety requirements for
people with medical implants
Every power tool creates an electro
magnetic field when used. Under certain
unfavourable circumstances, this may
affect the functionality of medical
implants (e. g. pacemakers).
Before you use the stirrer:
• Consult your doctor.
• Ask the manufacturer of the implant.
Special safety measures when working
with the stirrer
• When stirring and cleaning, wear
44
goggles. Spray from mixed substances

and cleaning fluids may cause injuries
to the eyes.
• Wear ear protection when stirring.
The sound of the motor may cause
damage to the ears.
• When mixing dry, powdery
substances: wear a breathing mask.
Generated dust may cause breathing
problems.
• When stirring, hold the stirrer with
both hands. The stirrer cannot be held
safely with just one hand.
• Avoid considerable reduction in
speeds or stopping the stirrer during
the process. Considerable reduction in
speed may lead to motor overload.
• Do not mix substances with a
flashpoint below 21 °C. Flammable
substances or substances containing
solvents may ignite when stirred.
• When stirring, do not reach into the
stirrer. Touching the rotating stirrer
causes injury.
• Do not cover the ventilation slots
when stirring. If the ventilation slots
are covered, the motor will overheat.
• Hold the stirrer with both hands
firmly after switching off until it has
come to a standstill. Continuous
motion of the stirrer may cause injury.
Put the stirrer down only after it has
come to a standstill.
• Do not pull the plug out of the
socket if the stirrer is still switched
on. When starting again, the stirrer
may start up in uncontrolled manner.
