• The range of the temperature control is from 40°F to 72°F for the wine cellars and from 34°F to
43°F for the beverage merchandisers.
• To view the set temperature at any time, press the UP or DOWN button. The set temperature
will flash in the display window for 5 seconds. After 5 seconds, the temperature inside the unit
will reappear in blue in the display window.
NOTES:
•
If the unit is unplugged, or power is lost or turned off, you must wait 3 to 5 minutes before
restarting the unit. If you attempt to restart before this time delay, the unit will not start.
•
When you use the unit for the first time or restart the unit after it has been shut off for a long
time, there could be a few degrees variance between the temperature you select and the one
indicated on the LED readout. This is normal and is due to the length of the activation time.
There should not be a problem once the unit has been running for a few hours.
DOOR LOCK
Your unit is provided with a lock and key combination.
The keys are located inside the plastic bag that contains the Owner's Manual. Insert the key into the lock
and turn it counterclockwise to unlock the door. To lock the door, do the reverse operation, making sure
the metal pin is engaged completely. Remove the key and put it in a secure place for safekeeping.
DEFROSTING
This appliance requires no manual defrosting. During the operation of the compressor, ice will build up on
the evaporator plate which is at the back of inner cabinet. During the compressor's off-cycle, the ice will
melt, drip down, and collect in a tray above the compressor, where the compressor's heat evaporates the
water. If you notice excessive icy build-up on the evaporator, try setting the temperature slightly higher.
Also, be sure that the door gasket is sealing well.
SHELVES
The unit has four shelves, three full-sized and one half-sized, all of which are removable. The beverage
merchandiser models have chrome-plated wire shelves, while the wine cellars have wooden shelves. To
take out a shelf, first remove its contents, then raise the back of the shelf slightly and pull it out.
ABOUT THE WINE CELLARS
The WC2 models are wine cellars designed to store up to 22 standard 750-ml Bordeaux-style bottles of
wine (or a combination of 18 wider Burgundy-style bottles and 3 Bordeaux). They include a metal insert
that lets you stack bottles on the floor of the unit. Bottles can also be stored upright in front of the
shelving.
