3.4. Safety instructions for operation
WARNING!
Live components. There is a risk of electric shock.
Avoid contact between the cutting tool and live
elements (electric fence, cables, etc.).
Hold the appliance by the handle.
Protect the appliance from moisture. Do not use the
appliance in the rain or in extreme moisture. Do not cut damp
or wet grass.
Always wear safety goggles, work gloves, tight-fitting
clothing, sturdy shoes and long trousers when using the
appliance.
Always keep at a sufficient distance to the cutting tool.
Keep other people or animals away from the cutting area to
prevent hazards due to thrown items.
Ensure sufficient lighting and visibility during operation.
Keep in mind that the cutting tool runs on after switching off.
Keep all parts of your body away from the cutting blade.
Do not attempt to remove any cuttings or material to be cut
while the blade is still running.
Do not remove blockages unless the appliance is secured
against accidental switch-on by removing the safety key.
Always attach the safety cover when transporting or storing
the appliance.
Ensure that you are standing firmly on both feet and keep
your balance while operating the appliance.
