Operating the Test Kit

The operating procedure and adjustment ranges as well as the effort necessary to actuate
the operating elements differ according to whether a pressure or vacuum must be gener-
ated.
CAUTION Risk of crushing!
Fingers, hands or other limbs could be crushed when the hand grips are
pushed together.
► Do not reach in between the two hand grips!
► Do not take hold of the piston rod!
► Pay attention that no limbs move between the hand grips!
ATTENTION!
Risk of material damage at the valve stop due to too high a load.
► Only tighten the fine adjustment, pressure release and switchover valves
hand tight on reaching the stop!
ATTENTION!
Risk of material damage to the switchover valve by actuating the switchover
valve when a pressure or vacuum is applied.
► Never actuate the switchover valve when a pressure or vacuum is applied
in the test kit.
► Only actuate the switchover valve when the pressure release valve is
open!
The following conditions must be fulfilled before starting to generate a pressure or vacuum
with the test kit:
„ The ServiceJunior is connected to the hand pump.
„ The test object is connected to the connection nut of the pressure hose with an ap-
propriate adapter and seal.
„ All the pressure connections are tightened to withstand the pressure.
