14. DISASSEMBLY: Shut off the pump then use a 7/8” deep socket and ratchet (1) to remove Spring Barrel. Place clamp assembly out of the way in a convenient place (2). You can now easily remove the filter lid, exposing the dirty element assembly. Damage to clamp may lead to system failure. - Page 8 17. You may find some debris on the cartridge pleats, which may have not been removed with hosing. In such a case, soak the cartridge in a solution of filter element cleaner (found at pool dealers). Follow manufacturer’s directions for use. Hose thoroughly before reinstalling the cartridge in the filter.
