MODE 1
- WITH ENCODER (DIP 7 ON AND JUMPER S3 OPEN)
L
MODE 1
- WITH ENCODER AND ELECTRIC LIMIT SWITCHES (IF APPLIED)
(DIP 7 ON AND JUMPER S3 CLOSED)
I
MODE 1
- WITHOUT ENCODER BUT WITH ELECTRIC LIMIT SWITCHES (IF
S
APPLIED) (DIP 7 OFF AND JUMPER S3 CLOSED)
MODE 2
- TIMED (DIP 7 OFF AND JUMPER S3 OPEN)
H
MODE 1
1 - Start with the gate completely closed.
2 - Put DIP 2 in the ON mode => LED DL9 will blink rapidly.
3 - Press PROG. => M1 opens.
4 - When the gate comes into contact with the opening stop, the ENCODER stops M1
(with storage of the encoder readings and the time) and M2 starts to open
simultaneously.
5 - When the gate comes into contact with the opening stop, the ENCODER stops M1
(with storage of the encoder readings and the time) => the delay countdown prior to
automatic closing starts simultaneously (max 5 minutes).
6 - Press PROG. => delay countdown prior to automatic closing stops and M2 closes.
7 - Press PROG. => M1 closes and creates a phase difference between M2 and M1. At
the same time LED DL9 stops blinking to signal exit from the programming mode.
At this point, the safety devices and other gate controls will resume normal operation
(inversions, stops, alarms, etc.).
9 - The gate will stop at the end of the ENCODER countdown.
10 - AFTER PROGRAMMING, SWITCH DIP 2 TO OFF.
NOTE: The same procedure applies to electric limit switches (S3 closed). With S3 closed,
gate travel is determined by the electric limit switches and not by the encoder,
which only acts as a safety device.
MODE 2
1 - Start with the gate completely closed.
2 - Put DIP 2 in the ON mode => LED DL9 will blink rapidly.
3 - Press PROG. => M1 opens.
4 - When the gate comes into contact with the opening stop, wait one second and then
press PROG => M1 stops and M2 opens.
5 - When the gate comes into contact with the opening stop, wait one second and then
press PROG => M2 stops and the delay countdown prior to automatic closing starts
simultaneously (max 5 minutes).
6 - Press PROG. => delay countdown prior to automatic closing stops and M2 closes.
7 - Press PROG. => M1 closes and creates a phase difference between M2 and M1. At
the same time LED DL9 stops blinking to signal exit from the programming mode.
At this point, the safety devices and other gate controls will resume normal operation
(inversions, stops, alarms, etc.).
8 - The gate will stop at the end of the ENCODER countdown.
9 - AFTER PROGRAMMING, SWITCH DIP 2 TO OFF.
TIME PROGRAMMING FOR ONE MOTOR (#)
IMPORTANT: CUT OUT S2 TO OPERATE ONE MOTOR.
THIS CAN BE DONE IN EITHER OF TWO WAYS
MODE 3
- WITH ENCODER ONLY (DIP 7 ON AND JUMPER S3 OPEN)
MODE 3
- WITH ENCODER AND ELECTRIC LIMIT SWITCHES (IF APPLIED) (DIP 7
ON AND JUMPER S3 CLOSED)
MODE 3
- WITHOUT ENCODER BUT WITH ELECTRIC LIMIT SWITCHES (IF
APPLIED) (DIP 7 OFF AND JUMPER S3 CLOSED)
MODE 4
- TIMED (DIP 7 OFF AND JUMPER S3 OPEN)
MODE 3
1 - Start with the gate completely closed.
2 – Put DIP 2 in the ON mode => LED DL9 will blink rapidly.
3 - Press PROG. => M1 opens.
4 - When the gate comes into contact with the opening stop, the ENCODER stops M1
(with storage of the encoder readings and the time) and the delay countdown priot to
automatic closing starts (max 5 minutes).
5 - Press PROG. => delay countdown prior to automatic closing stops and M2 closes.
At the same time LED DL9 stops blinking to signal exit from the programming mode.
At this point, the safety devices and other gate controls will resume normal operation
(inversions, stops, alarms, etc.).
6 - The gate will stop at the end of the ENCODER countdown.
7 - AFTER PROGRAMMING, SWITCH DIP 2 TO OFF.
NOTE: The same procedure applies to electric limit switches (S3 closed). With S3 closed,
gate travel is determined by the electric limit switches and not by the encoder,
which only acts as a safety device.
MODE 4
1 - Start with the gate completely closed.
2 - Put DIP 2 in the ON mode => LED DL9 will blink rapidly.
3 - Press PROG. => M1 opens.
4 - When the gate comes into contact with the opening stop, wait one second then press
PROG. => M1 stops and the delay countdown prior to automatic closing starts (max 5
minutes).
5 - Press PROG. => delay countdown prior to automatic closing stops and M1 closes.
(#) SAFETY DEVICES ARE ACTIVE DURING THE PROGRAMMING AND THEIR
INTERVENTION STOPS IT (THE LED 9 BLINKS NO MORE BUT REMAINS
CONSTANTLY TURNED ON).
TO REPEAT THE PROGRAMMING, POSITION DIP1 AND 2 ON MODE OFF, CLOSE
THE GATE AND REPEAT THE PROCEDURE DESCRIBED ABOVE.
OPERATION OF THE OPERATING ACCESSORIES
OPENING BUTTON (with timer function)
When the gate is standstill, the button operates the opening mode. If you push this button
when the gate is on closure, It opens again.
TIMER FUNCTION
This function is useful In the rush hours, when vehicle traffic is slow (e.g. entry/exit of
workers, emergencies In residential or parking areas and, temporary, for removals).
APPLICATIONS
By connecting a switch and/or a daily/weekly timer (in place or in parallel with the opening
button N.O. "COM-OPEN"), it is possible to open the automation or to keep It open, as
long as the switch is on or the timer is activated.
When the automation is open, all operating functions are inhibited.
If the automatic closing Is started, by releasing the switch or at the time set before, the
automation immediately closes; if not, you need to operate a command.
CLOSING BUTTON (COM-CLOSE)
When the gate is standstill, it operates the closing.
JOGGING OPERATION BUTTON (COM-K BUTTON)
DIP5 - OFF => It cyclically commands open-stop-close-stop-open-etc.
DIP5 - ON => It opens the gate when this Is closed. If It is operated while the gate is
opening, it has no effect. If it is operated when the gate is open, it closes the
gate and, if it is operated while the gate is closing, it opens the gate again.
RADIO TRANSMITTER
DIP4 - OFF => It cyclically commands open-stop-close-stop-open-etc.
DIP4 - ON => It opens the gate when this is closed. If it is operated while the gate is
opening, it has no effect. If it is operated when the gate is open, it closes. If
it is operated while the gate is closing, it opens the gate again.
AUTOMATIC CLOSING
Pause times before the automatic closing of the gate are set with the timing procedure.
The maximum pause time is 5 minutes.
Pause time can be started or stopped by DIP3 (ON started).
ELECTRIC LOCK IN OPENING PHASE
Set Dip10 to ON to enable control of the electric lock in the opening phase.
ELECTRIC LOCK AND RELEASE PULSE IN OPENING PHASE
Set Dip11 to ON to enable the release pulse of the electric lock in the opening phase (provided
S2 Dip10 is set to ON).
With the gate closed, pressing an opening command will cause the gate to perform the closing
movement for 0.5s (in this phase the Encoder(s) is/are not enabled), and simultaneously the
electric lock is activated (followed by 0.5s pause and then by opening of the gate).
GATE LEAF RELEASE ASSIST
With the electric lock release pulse active (Dip11 - ON), when the gate is closed a direction
reversal manoeuvre is performed for a fixed time of 0.2s to facilitate manual release (in this
phase the Encoder is not enabled).
OPERATION AFTER BLACK-OUT
When mains electrical power is restored press the opening button (K, OPEN, radio).
Let the gate close itself with automatic closure or wait that the flasher
The gate will open.
stops blink first to command the closing movement. This operation is valid to obtain the
leaves position readjustment.
During this phase all safety devices are active.
SAFETY ACCESSORIES OPERATION
SAFETY ENCODER (only for KING PLUS)
It serves as a safety device both during opening and on closure, with movement
reversion.
DIP 7 (ON) OPERATES THE MOTOR WITH ENCODER.
If the Encoder does not work (due to a failure In the power supply, disconnected wires,
broken or defective disk), the gate Is not operated.
