Fitting and adjusting the orthosis

Step 1
Lay the child on it's back and position the hips in 90° flexion (Fig. 1) and the legs each in 30º
abduction (Fig. 2). Measure the distance between both knees (Fig. 3).

Step 2
The width of the metal frame can be adjusted by removing both Phillips head screws at the back of
the orthosis (Fig.4). Optionally, the Allen key provided with the orthosis can be used on the flange
nuts at the inside of the frame for easier removal of the screws. Set the width of the frame so the
distance between the cuffs match as close as possible the distance measured in step 1 (Fig. 5).
Reposition the screws in the desired position and tighten them securely into the flange nuts.
