WIRING

Refer to the power supply details in paragraph 2.
The power cable should be protected against damage (passage of vehicles, mowers, chewing by animals,
etc.). If the cable passes through an area with foot traffic, run it underground through a sheath to prevent
any accidents.
If an extension cable is used:
• use a 3 wire cable (live – neutral – earth) with a cross section at least equivalent to the cable
delivered with the device (1 mm²).
• make sure that the extension cable/ power cable connection is leaktight if it will be exposed to the
weather.
• do not use an extension cable more than 15 metres long.
The machine power cable is fitted with an earth, an integrated differential circuit breaker with a 10 mA
tripping current. Operation is described in paragraph 7 Start-up and operation.

HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS

The pool's hydraulic circuit must include a filter to retain any solid impurities that could create
obstructions in the heat pump exchanger.
The heat pump must be connected to the hydraulic circuit downstream from the filter and upstream from
any device injecting treatment chemicals into the water.
The pool filtration pump must allow a water flow rate of at least 1 m3/h through the heat pump
exchanger, but preferably approximately 2 m3/h. If the flow rate generated by the pump is higher than 2
m3/h, the heat pump must be installed on a by-pass loop.
Installation of the heat pump on a by-pass loop is also recommended if the heat pump is only use for
part of the year. This is to avoid water flowing unnecessarily through the heat pump.
It is also recommended to be able to disconnect the heat pump from the hydraulic circuit without having
to empty the pool. To create a by-pass loop install 2 isolation valves, 1 on the water inlet line and 1 on
the water outlet line.
