e) Mode 5
Mode 5 is a charging programme for 12 v batteries in a cold environment or a charging programme specifically for
12 v AGM batteries.
Charge end voltage:
Charging current:
Suitable for:
Press the MODE button (2) repeatedly until the LED 12 v with the snowflake symbol (7) is illuminated.
The displays at the charger are the same as in charging programme mode 4.
f) Mode 6
Mode 6 is a special charging programme to reactivate totally discharged 12 v batteries.
Charge end voltage:
Charging current:
Suitable for:
Press the MODE button (2) repeatedly until the LED BOOST 12 v (8) is illuminated.
Depending on the charging status of the battery, reactivation is no longer than four hours. The LED BOOST 12 v (8)
flashes during this time.
When reactivation is complete, the charger switches to mode 4 and continues to charge the battery as described
above.
In Mode 6, the battery must never be connected to the vehicle electronics during charging. Before
using this charging programme, the battery to be recharged must first be disconnected from the
vehicle electronics. Otherwise, there is the risk of the vehicle electronics being damaged.
when using charging programme mode 6 for batteries with liquid electrolytes, check the condi-
tion of the electrolyte after charging since the high charging voltage in this charging programme
can cause outgassing and therefore a loss of liquid.
g) Mode 7
Mode 7 is a charging programme whose charging output is limited to a voltage of 13.6 v. Therefore, 12 v batteries
can remain connected continuously without being overloaded. The charging current is controlled automatically
based on the charging status.
