INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
USING BATTERY CHARGER
• Always check that the specifications of the motorcycle battery suit 12V battery chargers.
• If the voltage of the battery charger does not match the voltage of the motorcycle's system,
explosions or damage to the motorcycle, the battery charger and people may be caused.
• Before charging, check that the power supply cable is not connected to the mains power supply.
• Find the post corresponding to the motorcycle's chassis; this is usually connected to the negative clip.
CHARGING A BATTERY WITH NEGATIVE CLIP CONNECTED TO MOTORCYCLE'S CHASSIS
• Connect the output lead with red clamp (+) to the positive post of the battery.
• Connect the output lead with black clamp (-) to the motorcycle's chassis, away from the battery and
the fuel pipe.
CHARGING A BATTERY WITH POSITIVE CLIP CONNECTED TO MOTORCYCLE'S CHASSIS
• Connect the output lead with black clamp (-) to the negative post of the battery.
• Connect the output lead with red clamp (+) to the motorcycle's chassis, away from the battery
and the fuel pipe.
USING EYELET TYPE TERMINALS
• Connect the output lead with black eyelet (-) to the negative post of the battery.
• Connect the output lead with red eyelet (+) to the positive post of the battery.
• Make sure that the two eyelets are properly secured to the battery clips, thereby ensuring an optimal
electrical contact.
• Firmly secure the ends of the output leads to the motorcycle, away from the fuel pipe (do not use clips
in metal or any other material that might damage the lead).
• When the operation is complete, fit the protective, insulating, watertight cap onto the quick connectors
of the leads with eyelet terminals.
TURNING BATTERY CHARGER ON
• Once the output leads have been properly connected to the battery, connect the power supply cable
of the battery charger to the mains, making sure that the mains voltage matches that stated on the
battery charger (see TECHNICAL DATA table).
• With the battery charger in "stand-by" mode and the ON LED lighting up, set the charging parameters
suitable for the type of battery using the key on the control panel.
Charging parameters to set:
Charge for 12V batteries: 2Ah- 40Ah
Holding charge for 12V batteries : 2Ah – 100Ah
Suitable for charging lead acid batteries: WET – GEWL – AGM
Charge for 12V batteries: 2Ah- 40Ah
Holding charge for 12V batteries: 2Ah – 100Ah
Suitable for charging lithium batteries: LiFePO4
