8.2.1 Normal operation

See fig. 7.

C indicator
The welding fume with dust and dirt particles are
blown into the filters by the decentral extracton fans or
extracted into the filters by the central fan. As soon as,
as a result of clogging, the maximum pressure
difference over the filters (t
reached, a pressure difference switch activates the
RoboCleanPlus compressed air cleaning mechanism
which subsequently cleans the filters using section
controlled jets of compressed air (fig. 7B). The pressure
difference switch is standard set at 1000 Pa. The dust
and dirt particles then fall into the drum.
During this cleaning process the indicator lights
continuously (t
in fig. 7C). After the cleaning process
1
has ended and the pressure gets below the set value,
the indicator (t
in fig. 7C) starts blinking again.
2
When the cleaning process has ended, you must wait
1 minute to start up a new cleaning process.

D buzzer
If the pressure difference over the filters does not get
below the set value after some by the SCS itself
initiated attemps, the indicator starts blinking at a low
frequency (t
in fig. 8C). Furthermore, the buzzer emits
4
an interrupted signal (fig. 8D). Although in such cases
the work can continue normally, it is recommended to
switch off the flashing indicator and buzzer by pressing
the reset/start button and subsequently contact a
qualified technician.
For possible causes and solutions, see chapter 10.

moment by pressing the reset/start button again ("

When the cleaning process has ended, you must wait

WARNING
.
Avoid manual operation during the first 10
!
net operation hours; if this happens the filter
efficiency will be reduced.
8.2.4 Time controlled operation
The SCS also offers the possibility beside automatic or
manual cleaning to have the cleaning cycle carried out
time-controlled. In certain cases this cleaning method
can be useful. Via the time switch and the time relay in
the CB-SCS the time at which the jets of compressed
air must start can be set. Also the intervals between
the jets of compressed air can be set.
For setting the time switch (fig. 10A), see the supplied
documentation enclosed in the CB-SCS.
For setting the intervals, use the time relay (fig. 10B).
The potmeters (fig. 10C and D) determine the "
time" of the relay. This time is ex-factory set to 2
seconds.
WARNING
.
The setting of the potmeters (fig. 10C and D)
!
should never be altered.
The potmeters (fig. 10E and F) determine the "
time", i.e. the intervals between the jets of compressed
air. This time is ex-factory set to 10 minutes and can
be altered using the potmeters (fig. 10E and F).
Fig. 11 shows the principle operation of a time
controlled cleaning process.

WARNING
.
With respect to the standing time of the
!
filters it is recommended to limit the use of
this cleaning method to a minimum.
Never use the time controlled operation
during the first 10 net operation hours; the
filter efficiency will be reduced by this.
