Metal filter

Removing the filter
Fire hazard! Grease residues decrease
the extractor's performance and in-
crease the fire hazard. In order to pre-
vent a fire hazard, please make sure to
clean the metal filters regularly. The
grease filters must be cleaned at the
least once a fortnight. When doing so,
always make sure that the extraction
vents are open. Reach into the extrac-
tion vents on the right and left from the
operating side and lift the hob until the
disengages. Raise the hob until the
spring mechanism fully supports it (max.
opening angle of 30°). The metal filter
can now be easily accessed. Hold the
metal filter on both handles with your
hands and pull forward until the magnet
contact disengages. Remove the filters
from the lower part of the extractor body.
To install, proceed in reverse order. To
close the hob, gently push it down from
the top with your hands. Do not hold on
to it at the front when closing it! Risk of
crushing!
Cleaning the filters
The stainless steel filter is best cleaned
in the dishwasher or with a mild dish-
washing agent. The manufacturer ac-
cepts no liability whatsoever for any
discolouration caused by the use of
aggressive dishwashing agents. Tem-
peratures exceeding 55 degrees Cel-
sius must be avoided.
Caution: Do not use three-phase clean-
ing agents or clean the filter in a com-
mercial dishwasher. Cleaning with ag-
gressive agents such as petrol, ace-
tone, tri-chlor-ethylene, etc. will destroy
the filters! Refit the metal filters after
cleaning.

Activated carbon filter

The C version model offering the recir-
culation mode contains an activated
carbon filter in the tower. Please refer
to the separate instructions entitled
"Activated Carbon"!
