4. Initial start-up
When the device is put into operation for the first time, check the intactness of
the product or components and their function again. Please remove the kettle and
base station from the packing and clean the unit with a damp cloth. Afterwards
connect the basis only to a properly installed grounded socket.
Before regular use, fill the water reservoir with cold water to its maximum level
and boil according the following instructions. Thereafter discard the water in order
to remove any residues of the production process. Bring the water to the boil by
pressing the "100 ° C" button on the basis and throw it away.
This device is designed for household use and similar applications only, such as
for example:
- in employee cafeterias, in stores, offices and other working environments;
- by customers in hotels, motels and other residential facilities;
- in Bed and Breakfast establishments;
- in farm houses.
Never operate the device unattended and check it before each use for possible
damage and correct mounting.
