1 - Introduction

1.1 - Remarks and recommendations

Before starting the installation procedure, carefully read this manual, since the warranty will
automatically be void in case of negligence, wrong procedures, improper use, circuit tampering
by unauthorised personnel.
The warranty will be void also if failures are caused by accidental surges in the power supply net-
work. Consequently, if the Multimedia Interface is installed in an area subject to major atmospheric
discharges (thunderstorms), appropriate protection systems need to be installed on the power
supply network, which shall be earthed as accurately as possible in accordance with the standards
and regulations applicable in the country where the interface is installed.
