7.4.2 FRESH WATER/WASTEWATER
The fresh water and wastewater tanks are in the hatch in the bedroom. Screw the caps on
firmly to prevent any leaks.
An unoccupied, unheated motorhome must be protected against mould and bacteria
while wintering. Follow the rules below to properly drain the entire fresh water system.
Draining fresh water and wastewater systems:
·
Empty the wastewater tank by activating the drainage valve.
·
Empty the fresh water tank by opening the drainage plug located at the bottom of the
tank.
Leave mixer taps open in a central position and place shower nozzle on the bottom of the
shower tray.
Warning, risk of property damage
Clean inside the tanks. The presence of even a small amount of stagnant
water encourages bad smells and algae.
Draining the water heater
To empty the water heater, turn the blue lever located in the heating compartment 180°.
The press button releases and the water in the water heater can flow.
Turn the pump on (on the control panel) and open the taps to drain the water from all
pipes. Drainage is complete when no water flows from the water-heater valve.
Additional information
The pump may carry on working for several minutes without damage,
even when empty.
