■ Keep children and animals away from the packaging. There is, among other things,
a danger of suffocation!
1. Unpack the items supplied and check them for completeness and possible transport
damage. If the kettle, base station, mains plug of mains cable should have any dam-
age, do not use the device (!), but contact our customer service department.
2. Pull any foils and stickers off of the device.

Before fi rst use
PLEASE NOTE!
■ There may still be some production residues on the device. To avoid harmful effects
to your health, clean the device before you fi rst use it (see "Cleaning and Care" ).
1. Clean the kettle with a damp, soft cloth. To clean the water kettle you can use a small
amount of mild detergent if needed and rinse the device off with clean, warm water
afterwards. Dry it off with a soft cloth.
2. Place the base station on a dry, water and heat-resistant, even surface with suffi -
cient space to fl ammable objects. Please ensure that the device is not accessible
to children.
3. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed and grounded 220 – 240 V socket with
earthing contacts.
4. Fill the kettle with tap water up to the MAX mark and let it boil up (see chapter "Use").
Pour the water away afterwards. Repeat this process twice.
The kettle is now ready for use!
